Gráinne McGuire , Michael C. Denham and David J. Balding

Department of Applied Statistics, PO Box 240, University of Reading, Reading RG6 6FN, UK

Received on November 16, 2000 ; accepted on January 25, 2001

Summary: MAC5 implements MCMC sampling of the posterior distribution of tree topologies from DNA sequences containing gaps by using a five state model of evolution (the four nucleotides and the gap character).

Availability: MAC5 is available from http://www.reading.ac.uk/statistics/genetics/ under the software link.
